Today we finished our discussion of domain and range based on a graph. And the using the vertical line test to determine if a relation is a function. Tomorrow we will be moving on to function operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and composition.

Thursday and Friday

Thursday we reviewed the homework assignment on graphing piecewise linear functions and took an assessment (quiz) on writing equations of lines and graphing piecewise linear functions.

Friday we looked at solving piecewise linear functions. Basically we are given a real life situation, we model it by writing a piecewise linear function, and then use that function to make predictions. Here are the problems we stared working on.

The past two days we have been working on graphing piecewise functions, and writing equations of piecewise functions based on a graph. We did a station activity in groups, you guys did a great job.

Tomorrow we will have an assessment on piecewise functions, please be ready and study.

Hey Everybody,

My name is Daniel F. I am your teacher. I have been teaching for 6 years, and this is my second year at Springbrook. I am married and have a 1.5 year old daughter named Samantha.

I am running my first Marathon in October. I will let you know how it goes.
I like to mountain bike, road bike, hike, camp, and do almost anything outside. I am a volunteer coach on the wrestling team here. I also enjoy solving puzzles and thinking. Most of all I enjoy being a teacher and spending time with driven young people.
